Kids Wanna Rock?

In one of his greatest hits, Kids Wanna Rock, Bryan Adams complains over pop music claiming our kids deserve better than plastic-fantastic rhythms of synthesizers. We at the Festival Maribor couldn't agree more! But, as usually, we boldly take it further and claim that our kids deserve - classical music! The very best of it, and presented in the best way possible! Exciting, enticing and entertaining, but never patronising and simplistic!

We proudly present Festival Maribor among Children, a series of concerts and events for kids of all ages (babies and toddlers welcomed!) featuring our best musicians presenting an array of most beloved classical melodies. From pianist Adriana Magdovski's soothing concert for babies (10 September), a matinee featuring music pieces with fairy tale themes performed by the reed quintet Calefax and storyteller Robert Kereži (8 September) to The Classic Buskers' latest show Mozart’s Magic Flute, which is bound to leave you in stitches (12 September).

Welcome to classical music concerts where clapping in between movements and laughing aloud (or should that be LOL?) is not only allowed, but appreciated! Bring your offspring and witness the moment when they fall in love with classical music.

So sorry, Bryan, kids wanna baroque!
